Can you migrate our server even though nobody documented it?
Yes, undocumented servers are the norm, not the exception. The assessment phase reverse-engineers what the server actually does before we plan the move, and you get the documentation the old setup never had.
Our RAID shows degraded, what should we do right now?
Don’t remove or swap drives on guesswork, and don’t reboot repeatedly, a degraded array is running on its last redundancy. Back up if you can, then call; we secure the data first and rebuild the array second, in that order, always.
Which RAID level should we use?
Depends on your balance of capacity, speed, and how many simultaneous disk failures you need to survive, there’s no universal answer, and marketing defaults are often wrong for the workload. We design it from your requirements and explain the trade-offs plainly.
Should we migrate to new hardware or virtualize?
Increasingly, both at once: new hardware running Hyper-V, with your old server converted to a virtual machine on it. It’s often the same project cost with far better recoverability, we’ll model both options for you honestly.
Is RAID a substitute for backup?
No, RAID survives disk failure; it faithfully replicates deletions, corruption, and ransomware. Every migration we do pairs the storage design with a real backup plan, because the two protect against different disasters.
