Overview
Modernise the Network Without Stopping the Office
Most office networks in Dubai were built once and then left alone. Five or ten years later, the same 100 Mbps switches and consumer router are still there. Now they carry video calls, cloud apps, VoIP and forty more devices than anyone planned for. Everything works, just slowly, and each new hire makes it worse. A network upgrade replaces the parts that hold you back. That usually means gigabit or multi-gig switches with enough PoE for cameras and access points. It can also mean a firewall sized for your headcount, Wi-Fi 6 access points and any cabling that fails a certification test. We plan it so the office keeps working while the changeover happens.
We do not replace for the sake of it. Before anything is ordered we test what you have. Cabling is certified run by run, switches are checked for port speed and error history, and access points by the Wi-Fi standard they support. Anything that passes stays in service and saves you money. The new equipment is configured in advance, installed alongside the old, and moved over in stages, one cabinet, floor or department at a time. Staff arrive to a faster network, not a broken one, and the old kit is removed only after the new one has proven itself.
- Switches with no free ports
- Gigabit line, 100 Mbps desks
- Access points older than Wi-Fi 6
- Router that restarts under load
- Hardware past end of support
- New cameras with no PoE
If your current equipment tests fine and simply needs reconfiguring, we tell you that and charge for the smaller job.
What you get
What Our Network Upgrade Includes
An upgrade is a plan first and a box of hardware second. Every item below is scoped after we have tested your current network, so you pay for the parts that need changing and nothing else.
- Reuse or replace listEvery switch, access point, router and cable run is tested and marked keep, reuse elsewhere or replace, with the reason written next to it.
- Gigabit switch replacementOld 100 Mbps and unmanaged switches are swapped for managed gigabit or multi-gig units with 10 Gbps uplinks between cabinets where needed.
- Wi-Fi 6 access pointsOlder access points are replaced with Wi-Fi 6 units placed for your current desk layout, with the same network names so devices reconnect automatically.
- PoE budget planningWe total the power draw of cameras, phones and access points, then choose switches with headroom so nothing drops when another device is added.
- Config migrationVLANs, addressing, firewall rules and Wi-Fi settings are rebuilt on the new hardware before installation, so behaviour stays the same and speed goes up.
- Staged cutover planA written sequence of which cabinet, floor or department moves when, with a rollback step for each stage and a test before moving on.

The process
How a Network Upgrade Job Runs
An upgrade in a working office follows a fixed sequence. Each stage is tested before the next one starts, and every stage can be reversed if something unexpected appears.
- 01
Inventory what runs
We list every device, cable run and switch port in use, test each one, and note what limits speed today and next year.
- 02
Design the target
You get a diagram of the finished network, a parts list marking kept and new items, and the flat rate for the job.
- 03
Stage new hardware
New switches, router and access points are configured and tested on the bench, then racked next to the old equipment ready to take over.
- 04
Cut over in phases
One cabinet, floor or department moves at a time, outside your busy hours. Each phase is checked with staff before the next begins.
- 05
Retire and record
Old equipment is powered down, left in place for a short watch period, then removed. You receive the final diagram, configs and the test results.
Problems we solve
Network Upgrade Problems We Fix in Dubai
These are the symptoms that tell us an office has outgrown its network. Each one is a hardware limit rather than a fault, and a targeted upgrade removes it.
- !We pay for a gigabit line and still see 90 Mbps
Our fixSomewhere between the ISP router and the desk sits a 100 Mbps link. It is usually an old switch, a Cat5 run or a router with slow LAN ports. We test speed at each hop, find that link and replace only that part.
- !Our switches are ten years old and there are no spare ports
Our fixOld switches fail slowly: ports die one by one and staff daisy chain desktop switches to cope. We replace them with managed gigabit switches sized for growth, migrate the port assignments and remove the desktop switches for good.
- !New laptops support Wi-Fi 6 but the office Wi-Fi is still slow
Our fixThe laptops fall back to whatever the access point speaks, often Wi-Fi 4 or 5 on crowded channels. Wi-Fi 6 access points handle many clients at once and use the airtime better. We swap the units and keep your network names.
- !The router restarts itself whenever the office is full
Our fixA consumer or small business router has a limit on connections it can track. Sixty devices on cloud apps push past it, memory fills and it reboots. We replace it with a business router or firewall rated for your headcount.
- !We added cameras and now the switch keeps cutting power to them
Our fixEach PoE switch has a total power budget. Add enough cameras and access points and it starts dropping ports to protect itself. We calculate the real draw and install a PoE+ switch with headroom, so every camera stays powered.
QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we have to replace everything, or can some equipment stay?
Usually a good part of it stays. Cabling that certifies at gigabit, managed switches with clean error counts and a firewall still under support are all kept. We replace what fails a test or limits speed, and we show you the results so the decision is yours.
What happens on cutover day?
The new equipment is already racked and configured. We move one group of ports or one floor at a time, usually in the evening. Then every desk, printer and phone in that group is checked before we continue. If anything misbehaves, the old switch is still there to fall back to.
Is Wi-Fi 6 worth it for a small office?
For an office with many laptops and phones on video calls, yes. Wi-Fi 6 handles crowded rooms better than Wi-Fi 5 because it serves several clients in one transmission. If your team is small and your current access points are Wi-Fi 5, we may advise keeping them.
Do we have to recable to get gigabit speeds?
Not always. Cat5e installed properly carries gigabit fine, and we certify each run before deciding. Runs that fail, are too long, or were terminated badly get replaced. Cabling only gets rerun wholesale if most of it fails or you want 10 Gbps to the desk.
Can we upgrade in stages over several months to spread the cost?
Yes, and it is often the better way. We design the finished network once, then deliver it in phases. Switches and uplinks might come first, then Wi-Fi, then the firewall, in whatever order removes your biggest limit. Each phase has its own flat rate agreed in advance.
What happens to the old routers and switches?
Anything still working is offered back to you as spares or moved to a low demand role, such as a store room. Retired units are reset to factory settings so no configuration or passwords leave with them, then handed over for disposal or recycling.
