IT AMC in Business Bay

Why a contract works differently by the canal

Most offices in the canal towers run lean. A brokerage might have eight agents and one admin. A consultancy might be a partner and six laptops. Nobody on the payroll owns IT, so faults wait for whoever has a spare hour. That is where a yearly contract earns its fee. We hold the asset list, the admin passwords and the licence dates, so a fault call starts with the answer, not with questions. We visit on a fixed rhythm, and we come in first when something breaks between visits. We pass through the district most weeks, so a scheduled visit rarely waits long for a gap in the diary.

Business Bay at a glance

  • ResponseContract clients come first in the day's schedule, and most tower faults are seen the same day.
  • AccessWe arrange visitor passes with your tower reception or FM office before every scheduled visit.
  • CoverageTrading houses, brokerages, real estate agencies, consultancies and design studios in the canal towers and podium offices.
  • PricingFlat rate agreed before work. No travel fees.

The work itself is shaped by what these offices do. Real estate teams live in a CRM and a property portal. For them, browser health, password hygiene and a solid Wi-Fi link to the meeting room matter more than server power. Trading and commodity firms need email that arrives on time and files that open on the first click, especially on settlement days. Consultancies need Microsoft 365 set up so a laptop can be wiped and reissued without losing a document. On each scheduled visit we work through the parts that fail quietly. Backup jobs that report success but skip a folder. Antivirus that stopped updating. A UPS battery that would not carry the server through a power blip.

Fit-outs change the picture too. New floors are handed over in this district every month. A contract signed at move-in means the network map, switch settings and Microsoft 365 tenant are written down from day one. Nothing has to be pieced together later. If you move to another tower mid-lease, the same engineer moves the kit, so nothing is lost on the way. Everything we record about your systems belongs to you and sits in a shared folder you control. That is deliberate. A contract should make you easier to support, not harder to leave.

On the day

What happens on a typical visit in Business Bay

A scheduled contract visit in a canal tower follows the same order each time, so nothing is skipped and you know what was checked.

  1. 01

    Pass and sign in

We arrive at the time booked with your office manager, collect the visitor pass arranged the day before, and sign in at reception. If your tower needs a permit for the service lift or the telecom room, we bring the paperwork with us.

  2. 02

    Open tickets first

Anything your team logged since the last visit gets handled before routine checks start. A printer that lost its scan to email, a laptop that will not join Wi-Fi, a shared mailbox nobody can open. People get back to work, then we move to the quiet jobs.

  3. 03

    Server cabinet check

We open the cabinet, read the server logs and disk health, confirm last night's backup completed and restore one file to prove it. The UPS gets a load test. Switch ports are checked against the map so nobody has plugged a home router into the office network.

  4. 04

    Desk by desk

Each workstation gets Windows and Microsoft 365 updates applied at a moment that suits its user. Antivirus is confirmed live and disk space checked. Agents and traders who are out at viewings or on calls are done remotely later that week, at a time they choose.

  5. 05

    Written note before we leave

You get a short written note before we leave: what was found, what was fixed and what needs a decision. That might be a laptop nearing the end of its life or a licence renewing next month. The asset list is updated the same day.

Fit check

Is this right for you?

A quick way to see whether IT AMC is the right call for your Business Bay premises, or whether another of our services fits better.

A good fit when

  • A brokerage or trading office of five to forty staff with no in-house IT person.
  • A consultancy that wants one number to call and one engineer who knows the setup.
  • A new tenant who wants the fit-out network documented and maintained from day one.
  • An office paying for emergency callouts more than twice a year.

Better handled by another service when

  • You want a full outsourced IT department with monthly monitoring and a helpdesk line. Managed IT Services fits better.
  • You need a single fault fixed once. Book an Onsite and Remote IT Support visit instead.

Questions from Business Bay clients

IT AMC in Business Bay: Your Questions Answered

The questions we hear most often from Business Bay clients before they book. If yours is not here, call or WhatsApp and ask.

Our office is on a high floor with strict tower rules. Does that slow the contract down?

It does not. We handle the access side before each visit. Many canal towers want a visitor pass or a work permit for the telecom room, and some restrict service lift use to set hours. We learn each tower's routine on the first visit, note it on your file and book around it every time after.

Half our agents work from viewings and home. Does the contract cover their laptops?

Yes, as long as the laptop is on the asset list. We support it remotely wherever it is, and it comes into the office rotation for updates when the agent is back at a desk. Phones used for email are covered for setup and Microsoft 365 sign-in problems, not for hardware faults.

We are moving to a different tower in Business Bay next quarter. What happens to the contract?

It moves with you. We survey the new floor before the fit-out closes the ceilings and plan the cabling and Wi-Fi. The server and switches shift over an evening or a weekend. The move itself is quoted as a separate flat rate, then the yearly contract carries on unchanged at the new address.

Can the contract include the printers and the meeting room screen as well?

Yes, all of it. Printers, scanners, the boardroom display, the video bar and the Wi-Fi access points all go on the asset list if you want them covered. Consumables and replacement hardware are bought separately, but the setup, the driver problems and the scan to email failures are ours to fix.

Who else can see our client data during maintenance?

Nobody. One engineer does every visit, works at your premises and does not copy client files off site. Remote sessions are started by you and end when you close them. Admin credentials sit in a password manager that you hold the master key to, and our access is removed the day the contract ends.

Do you cover the cafes and shops on the podium levels too?

Yes, and the contract is shaped differently for them. A cafe cares about the POS terminal, the card reader link and guest Wi-Fi, not a file server. We put those on the asset list and check them on the scheduled visit. The manager gets a direct line for the days the till goes offline.
